Everyone knows Erik Soto for his super-cool hair, perfect winged liner and amazing hugs. Over the past two years, Erik has inspired us, as well as thousands of Sephora cast members, makeup artists and Kat Von D Beauty fans around the world, with his incredible artistry and expertise

 

Recognized as a true star in the beauty industry, Erik is celebrated for his success as a self-made makeup artist and adored by Sephora cast as a former Lead Artist for the Sephora Pro  Erik has empowered countless cast members during in-store trainings and on-stage demos, flawlessly showcasing everything Kat Von D Beauty products stand for.

 

 With over six years as Lead Artist on the Sephora PRO team, Erik led an elite group of the beauty retailer’s most talented makeup artists, and oversaw Sephora’s participation at high-profile events, including New York Fashion Week and the Sundance Film Festival. During this time, Erik also worked closely with Kat Von D on photo and video shoots, where the two quickly became creative collaborators, together producing a spectrum of never-before-seen looks for the brand. In 2014, Erik was officially named Kat Von D Beauty Global Makeup Artist

 

 As the face of Kat Von D Beauty on QVC, Erik made his television debut to resounding success. He brought the brand to life by demonstrating the versatility of our products and selling to clients of all ages.

 

Erik has been critical to the global success of Kat Von D Beauty. Country by country, store by store, Erik was there, leading launch trainings and spreading the love for our brand.

In an exciting new chapter in Kendo’s artistry story, Erik Soto begins a new role as Sr. Manager, Global Artistry & Education for Kendo. In this position, Erik will support all Kendo brands, (Kat Von D Beauty, Marc Jacobs Beauty, Bite Beauty, Fenty Beauty and Ole Henriksen),  focusing on internal trainings for the North America and International Field Teams. He will lead our internal partners to elevate artistry, promote powerful storytelling, create branded application techniques and provide advanced training workshops and tools, used to impact global education initiatives. This strategic focus on internal-facing training is essential for Kendo’s growth and success.
